Bunt Ghosh
Head of Emerging Market Strategy for Asset Management, Credit Suisse
Surojit (Bunt) Ghosh is Credit Suisse Vice Chairman of Fixed Income Asia Pacific, and also Head of Emerging Market Strategy for Asset Management, based in Hong Kong. Mr Ghosh is responsible for managing many of Fixed Income's and Asset Management’s most senior relationships in Asia Pacific. Prior to his current role, Mr Ghosh was Global Head of Economics and Fixed Income Research, based in London. From 1986 to 1994, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse with responsibility for all Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange Research. He rejoined the Bank in 1998 to assume responsibility for Emerging Market Research and Strategy before taking up his global role in 2002. Prior to rejoining the Bank in 1998, Mr Ghosh was a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. He was also a member of the Central Policy group at the UK Financial Services Authority. Mr Ghosh was a Research Fellow at Oxford University until 1986 and has conducted extensive research on developing countries for the IMF, EBRD and the United Nations, and undertook research for the Economic Commission of Latin America in Buenos Aires for a number of years. He holds a BA in Economics from Antioch College in Ohio and an MA in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Toronto. He also participated in the DPhil programme at Oxford University.
