Luyu Chen, a presenter from Phoenix TV, has been anchoring and hosting programs such as: Phoenix TV's Music Unlimited, Morning News and A Date with LuYu; Hunan TV's Heart Beat--tell your story; Anhui TV's Love Ten Thousand - tell your story. A Date with Luyu, her most popular show has 800,000 viewership.
She has also been in live broadcasting of many major international events for Phoenix TV News, such as Hongkong Handover, Macau Handover, Millennium Tour, Princess Diana's funeral, the United States presidential election, 911 Tragedy, the war in Afghanistan, the war in Iraq. Ms Chen is known as the "China's Oprah".
Ms Chen has won numerous awards, such as "Best Anchor Woman for News", CCTV's "Most Popular Presenter" , "Best Talk Show Host" , to name a few. Her A Date with Luyu has won 2006 Most Charismatic Host by New Weekly.
She is also an accomplished writer, with 7 books published so far.
Before joining Phoenix TV in 1996, Ms Chen was a hostess for CCTV's "Scenery Line" , right after graduating from Communication University of China, majored in English Literature.
