Paul Zimmerman
Founding Member, Designing Hong Kong
Paul Zimmerman is a Founding Member of Designing Hong Kong, a not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainable urban planning in Hong Kong. He is Vice-Chairman of the Coalition on Sustainable Tourism, and Member of Heritage Watch and Save The Street Market. He is Non-Executive Director of the Business Environment Council and the representative for The Society for the Protection of the Harbour on the Harbour Enhancement Committee. Mr Zimmerman arrived in Hong Kong in 1984. In 1987, he founded Bridge Design, an identity and corporate literature design company, which he sold in 1997 to the events producer, Caribiner International. He built the combined entity into a leading communications group in Asia. In 2000, he founded The Experience Group, a consultancy advising on strategy and policy development. In 2003, he was appointed Executive Director of MF Jebsen International, an investment holding company. Mr Zimmerman has an MBA from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
