Paul Katz is President of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, where he has been responsible for some of the firm's most complex and ambitious building projects. With more than 25 years' experience at KPF, he has overseen the design and development of new commercial, residential, super-tall and mixed-use projects in major urban centers from New York and London to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. One of his most notable projects is the Shanghai World Financial Center, recently completed in the Pudong district. This stunning building is a vertical city that includes more than four million square feet of office, retail and hotel space, as well as integrated public spaces throughout its iconic tower form. The project recently received an award for the Best Tall Building in the World from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Mr Katz also worked on the design for the Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, Plaza 66 in Shanghai, The Landmark in Hong Kong, International Commerce Center in Kowloon, and Marina Bay Financial Center in Singapore, and has been responsible for a number of successful office and mixed-use projects at London's Canary Wharf, including the headquarters for State Street, KPMG and Clifford Chance. A registered architect in the U.S., Hong Kong and Singapore, Mr Katz is also a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
