Ignacio Nino Perez

Ignacio Nino Perez was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Office for International Strategy and Action of the City of Madrid, 'Madrid Global', in June 2007. For the four years previous to that, he served as Coordinator of the Economic Area of Madrid City Council. From 1995 to 2001, Mr Nino was responsible, within the Regional Government of Madrid, for the planning, programming and management of European funds. In 2001 he emerged as the successful candidate in an international contest within the framework of the EU PHARE project, spending 18 months in Poland as the head of a European Union project to advise the Polish government on adapting to the EU's Cohesion Policy. Mr Nino has a Master's degree in Applied Economy of the EU from the Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset, Universidad Complutense.
