Christine Loh
Chief Executive Officer, Civic Exchange, Hong Kong
Christine Loh is the Chief Executive Officer of Civic Exchange, a non-profit public policy think tank. She was previously a member of Hong Kong's Legislative Council and sponsored the historic Protection of the Harbour Ordinance, which has had an enormous impact on urban planning. The Society for the Protection of the Harbour, of which Ms Loh is the chairperson, fought several cases against the government on reclamation that have made legal history. Ms Loh is a lawyer by training and a commodities trader by profession, and has a long record in civic life in Hong Kong on many fronts, including environmental protection, green design and construction, and climate change. She has various advisory positions including the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and the GLOBE G8+5 Climate Change Dialogue.
