Stephen Ip
Lead Partner, Infrastructure Advisory, KPMG Advisory (China)
Stephen Ip is the Lead Partner for KPMG's Real Estate and Infrastructure advisory business in China. He has led numerous due diligence projects in these sectors for corporate and financial investors, involving a wide range of real estate, construction and infrastructure businesses/ assets such as residential developers, commercial buildings, hotels, shopping malls, department stores, industrial buildings, undeveloped land, land under construction, ports, power generation companies, toll roads, toll bridges, water/ waste water treatment plants and architectural/engineering consultancy. Mr Ip first joined KPMG in Hong Kong in 1994 and has been working as a due diligence practitioner since 1997. He transferred to KPMG's Shanghai office in 2005. He also spent three years in the UK with another international professional accounting firm providing transactions-related services to listed companies, banks and private equity firms. Mr Ip is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has a BSc (Hons) in Accountancy & Economics from the University of Southampton in the UK.
