The Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA) is a regional partnership program supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the governments of Germany, Sweden and Spain assisting medium sized Asian cities in bridging the gap between their development plans and access to funding for financing their strategic urban infrastructure. CDIA supports identification and development of urban investment projects emphasizing positive impact in areas of urban environment, urban poverty, climate change and/ or good urban governance.
The Initiative provides a range of international and domestic expertise to cities that can include support for the preparation of pre-feasibility studies for high priority infrastructure investment projects as one of several elements.

The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional planners. It was founded in 1965 in a bid to bring together recognised and highly-qualified planners in an international network. The ISOCARP network brings together individual and institutional members from more than 70 countries worldwide. As a non-governmental organisation ISOCARP is recognized by the UN, UNHCS and the Council of Europe. The Society also has a formal consultative status with UNESCO.

The objectives of ISOCARP include the improvement of planning practice through the creation of a global and active network of practitioners.
