Georgina Baker
IFC Director, Global Financial Markets, IFC
Georgina Baker is IFCs Director of Financial Markets Operations for Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa. She is also responsible for Short Term Finance, which includes the Global Trade Finance Program, Global Trade Liquidity Program and joint venture projects. She is one of two Directors of IFC's Financial Markets Department. She has been with the IFC for 18 years, during which time she has worked on IFCs investments in many areas including manufacturing investments in Eastern Europe and financial sector investments in South Asia.
Before joining IFC, Georgina received an MBA from the London Business School and previously worked in the UK and in Indonesia as a mechanical engineer.
