Boris Kolesnikov
Member of the Parliamentary Committee of Economic Policy, Parliament of Ukraine

Boris Kolesnikov was born in 1962 in the Donetsk region of Mariupol.

Mr. Kolesnikov graduated from the Donetsk State Academy of Management with a major in production management.

From 1980-1985, he worked at the Donetskugol Production Association in Kuibyshevskiy Employee Supply Department. He then worked at Donetsk Wholesale and Retail Works.
 
In 1986, Mr. Kolesnikov worked at the Donetsk Centre for Maintenance of Metal Working Equipment and also served in Trade and Procurement Enterprise of Donetsk Oblast Consumer Union until 1993.
 
From 1993 to 1996, he headed the Yug commercial trade firm as Chief Executive Officer.
 
From 1997 to May 1999, he was a Board Chairman of the private joint stock company "Kiev-Konti Production Association", a leading confectionery company in the Eastern Part of Ukraine and Russian Federation.
 
Since March 1998, he has been a member of the Donetsk Oblast Council and Chairman of the Permanent commission for social and economic development, investment, foreign economic policy, and development of small and medium-size business.
 
In 1998 he became a Vice-President of the winner of UEFA cup FC Shakhtar (Donetsk).
 
From May 1999 to May 2001, he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Donetsk Oblast Council and then was promoted to Chairman.
 
Since April 2006, Boris Kolesnikov has been a Member of Parliament of Ukraine, a member of Verkhovna Rada Committee for Economic Policy, Vice Chairman of the Party of Regions and Chief of Ideology and Mass Communications.
 
He is married with two children.
