Roberto di Pietro

Roberto di Pietro joined Qualcomm CDMA Technologies in March 2008 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, having previously worked for Hutchison Whampoa, as Director and General Manager of the 3G Handset Group.
Mr di Pietro played a key role in 3's successful global 3G launch, including the first 3G handset on the European market. He was also one of the core executives overseeing the 3 Group's global handset organisation, including responsibilities for the technical development, roadmap, procurement, testing and deployment of H3G S.p.A. Prior to joining 3, he worked with Telecom Italia and then Wind, where his responsibilities included network rollout and network management.
Through these various executive positions, Mr di Pietro has gained invaluable hands-on experience in both the technical and commercial issues relating to the handset and network elements of the telecoms business.
