Duncan Goose
Founder and Managing Director
Global Ethics

Duncan Goose was formerly a business development director of a WPP plc subsidiary.

Global Ethics Limited's primary remit is to change lives in developing countries through an innovative business model. To date over £6.2m has been given away and changed the lives of 1.7m people in Sub Saharan Africa.

The idea was simple - create a brand that consumers would buy into and then scale it across multiple categories and replicate it internationally.

In July 2005 One water became the official water for Live8 and Make Poverty History , since then the 'One' brand has already extended into different product categories such as One condoms (funding HIV projects), One vitamin water (vegetable gardens in schools), One toilet tissue and One soap (hygiene and sanitation programmes), plasters which fund healthcare projects and recently One eggs which fund chicken farming businesses. One water is also bottled in both the USA and Australia which will support projects in those regions.

Between 1998 and 2000 Mr Goose fulfilled a life-long ambition to ride a motorbike around the world. Being caught in the middle of Hurricane Mitch, which killed over 30,000 people and did $4bn worth of damage in Honduras, was the catalyst for the creation of the company.
