Marcelo C Battisti is Head of the Environmental and Social Risk Assessment Area of Banco Itaś BBA SA, the corporate and investment unit of Itaś Unibanco Holding SA. Mr Battisti is also the representative of Itaś Unibanco in the Steering Committee of the Equator Principles, having occupied the position of Chair of the Steering Committee from September 2008 until March 2010. Before assuming this position, he was the Credit Manager responsible for the team that developed Risk Rating models and for the team that covered the Energy, Utilities, Steel and Mining Sectors for Itaś BBA. Prior to Itaś BBA, he worked in Investment Banking, Asset Management and worked as a Consultant for The World Bank, in the Country Operations and in the Industry and Energy Technical Department of the Africa Region, in Washington DC.
