Laurie Yoler

Laurie Yoler has been helping emerging technology companies grow for over twenty five years as an executive, advisor, investor and board member. She has served on the boards of public companies, private companies, venture capital firms, and non-profit organizations.

As Managing Director at GrowthPoint Technology Partners, Ms Yoler helps entrepreneurial CEOs and their boards to review strategic alternatives for growth which may include strategic alliances, M&A transactions and raising capital.  In this position, Ms Yoler is frequently assessing innovation, acquisition and corporate venture investment strategies with a wide variety of large public technology and media companies.

Prior to that, Ms Yoler was Chief Development Officer at Intellectual Ventures, exploring invention and investment opportunities in a wide variety of technology areas.  During her tenure there, she explored the fast-growing market for intellectual property, which has been helpful for advising boards on potential IP strategies.

Ms Yoler has been an integral part of the development and launch of many new innovations and products, both from within large companies like Visa, Sun Microsystems, and Accenture, and as one of a small group of founders of a new entrepreneurial venture with a radical idea like Tesla Motors, DNA Direct, and Packet Design.

Ms Yoler currently serves on the board of directors of consumer healthcare company Curious, the Washington State University Research Foundation, the Harold Frank Engineering Entrepreneurship Board, and the advisory boards of DNA Direct (acquired by Medco), and Silicon Valley Comes to UK.

She previously served on the board of directors of Tesla Motors since its founding, the public UK-based company Interactive Investor (taken public on LSE/NASDAQ and later acquired by AMP) and the technical advisory board of Index Ventures.
