Daniel Bogler was appointed Managing Editor for the Financial Times in December 2005. Previously, he was the editor of the Lex column and news editor of the Asia edition, based in Hong Kong. Mr Bogler joined the FT in 1995 as a Lex columnist, first in London (1995-1997) and then in New York (1997-2001). He left the company briefly in 2001 to become a speechwriter for the president and COO of Goldman Sachs in New York, and returned later that year to take up the position of financial editor for Financial Times Deutschland. Mr Bogler graduated from Oxford University with a first class honours degree in modern history. He frequently appears on international TV and radio
