Andrew Churchill
Managing Director, JJ Churchill

Andrew has spent his working life in a variety of manufacturing sectors including pharmaceuticals, foundry chemicals, printing inks and latterly precision engineering with the family business of JJ Churchill.  After reading Chemistry at Oxford, Andrew spent ten years working in China and Australia, the exposure to a variety of industrial sectors and cultures has provided a useful platform for his current role.
Working with people, understanding what motivates and getting the best from a team is what stimulates him.  He's passionate about UK manufacturing and the need for a cohesive, long-term, government-lead manufacturing strategy and remains fascinated by the Far East.  From an industrial engagement perspective, Andrew is on the main board of EEF, chairs their East Midlands Regional Council and sits on the economic policy and tax committees.
With the last government, Andrew sat on the Ministerial Advisory Group on Manufacturing and more recently has joined the IET's Manufacturing Policy Panel.
