I enjoyed the opportunity of talking to so many capable and professional people. It was very motivating and inspiring.
Peter Kriemler, Global President, Akris

The Financial Times would like to thank the attendees of the seventh annual Business of Luxury Summit which took place from 5 - 7 June 2011 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Summit brought together 400 senior luxury executives, business leaders and financiers from around the world, to debate the key issues facing the luxury industry in the current global economic climate.

The theme for the 2011 Summit was What Price Luxury?  In a globalised world, how can luxury brands balance currency movements with consistent pricing while maintaining cost efficiency? How far can brands stretch their pricing to maximise market share without affecting their positioning? How aggressively, and publicly, should brands pursue an anti-counterfeiting policy and what are the implications? How significant is the revival of M&A and what kind of entities are the likely targets and most aggressive purchasers?
