Marina Garzoni
Founder & CEO, Moda e Tecnologia/Style Star

Marina Garzoni, has an extensive background in the fashion and luxury sectors, both in Italy and internationally.

A fashion and technology consultant and expert in retail strategies, new media, concept design and events management, she launched the talk show "Moda e Tecnologia" in 2004 (sponsored by IBM from 2005 to 2007). The show quickly became a program of reference for qualified professionals and fashion and luxury executives. Garzoni then founded the non-profit association "Moda e Tecnologia", which she manages. It's goal is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and market know-how across industry sectors from both creative and technological viewpoints. The association also aims to facilitate contact between top creative companies and leading research labs and projects worldwide, such as MIT in Boston.

Marina Garzoni holds a law degree as well as a Masters in Innovation in Retail from SDA Bocconi (1996) and a Masters in Mass Communication from Universita' Catolica of Milan (2004). At the invitation of professor Nicholas Negroponte, she participated in two workshops at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston) in 2005 and 2007. Garzoni is co-author of the book "Retail Strategy for Fashion and Luxury" (FrancoAngeli, 2006) and in the 2008 EGEA published "Moda & Tecnologia", co-written by Marina Garzoni with professor Roberto Dona and prefaced by Robert Grant. She is based in Milan and works internationally.
