Business Model Innovation: transforming Kodak's Core Business
Five years ago Kodak was disrupted by a game-changing revolution that had been decades in the making -- digital technology. Ironically, since Kodak invented the world's first digital camera, this was a revolution begun by Kodak. Today, with 70 percent of its revenue coming from digital products and technologies, and 60 percent coming from commercial customers, Kodak has been completely reinvented. Antonio Perez tells the story of how that happened.
" Why did Antonio come to Kodak?
" What did he find when he got there?
" How did he create the vision for the New Kodak?
- Antonio Perez, Chairman and CEO, Kodak

Innovating Continuously and Intuitively: The TATA Experience
In TATA, there is no evidence of a central directive or a centrally driven methodology for innovation. Each case suggests its own lessons. Possibly a unique organisational paradigm has evolved in TATA wherein the tremendous plurality of TATA is embedded within an overarching framework of the organisational value--that the community should be the ultimate beneficiary of its commerce.
Perhaps TATA has innovated in an unconscious way, in a natural way and the aligned aspiration of community benefit has had some over-arching influence.
- R. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, Tata Sons Ltd.

Breaking Through Gravity
The biggest block to Orbit Shifts of any form is Mindset Gravity. In case after case we have seen that the biggest enabler to Orbit Shifts is not innovation processes, not idea gathering sessions, not innovation tools, and not even ideas. Instead it is the breaking free of Mindset Gravity that releases individuals and organizations to leap frog existing growth paradigms.
