Brazil Going Global: Challenges and Opportunities
Brazil is a world leader in agriculture, bio-fuels, oil and gas and the manufacturing and engineering sectors, an emerging business hub for Latin America, and an increasingly prominent player on the world stage.

With sustained growth over the last few years, that certainly couldn't have been predicted as little as a decade ago, Brazil is now on the brink of a domestic infrastructure boom, since bagging host nation status for both the World Cup (2014) and the Olympic Games (2016). Things are really beginning to swing Brazil's way.

As Brazilian companies begin to spread their wings, the FT 'Brazil on the World Stage' Executive Dinner Forum brought together senior policy-makers and global players to examine the biggest challenges and opportunities faced at home, and away.

The FT 'Brazil on the World Stage' Executive Dinner Forum presented practical information on Brazil's significant investment opportunities as well as the inside track on the challenges and rewards Brazilian companies face as they move onto the world stage.

Discussion included:

  • What are the most challenging issues currently facing Brazilian business?
  • Where are the key areas of growth and opportunity at home - and away?
  • What opportunities will the Olympic Games and the World Cup present?
  • How is Brazil responding to the global transition to a low-carbon economy, and what are the key opportunities in this sector?
