Sheikh Mohammed bin Issa bin Mohammed Al Khalifa is the Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Bahrain. He was appointed to this role in June 2005 following 10 years working as a close and trusted aide of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain, eventually rising to become President of His Highness the Crown Princes Court.

In addition to his responsibilities at the EDB Sheikh Mohammed is the Chairman of Bahrain Development Bank and is heavily involved in His Highness the Crown Princes initiatives to liberalise the telecommunications sector.

A keen motoring enthusiast he was Vice President of the Bahrain Motor Club (now the Bahrain Motor Federation) and played a crucial role in the successful bid to bring an annual Formula One Grand Prix to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sheikh Mohammed holds a Bachelors degree in Economic Theory from the American University in Washington D.C. and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics.
