FT Invest in Georgia Forum: Maximising Strategic Opportunities with Europe's Central Business Hub

Series overview

Georgia has made great strides since the Rose Revolution of 2003 in creating a favourable investment climate. The country's profitable trade regimes, close proximity to Europe, strong economy - with GDP growth of 7% last year and an average annual growth of 6% between 2003 and 2011 - combined with extensive democratic reforms, safety and anti-corruption campaigns, make Georgia a strategic hub for Asian businesses seeking new market opportunities.

The FT Invest in Georgia Forum: Maximising Strategic Opportunities with Europe's Central Business Hub, to be opened by a special keynote address from Dimitri Gvindadze, Minister of Finance of Georgia, will explore the investment prospects for the country and provide insights on the steps the Georgian government is taking to optimise the potential from the rapid growth in Asian outward investment.
