John Palazzo

John Palazzo is the Managing Director of Credit Agricole Cheuvreux North America. John is responsible for developing, implementing and promoting strategies for CA Cheuvreuxs US execution business.

 

John has nearly 20 years experience trading all domestic equity markets and has a deep understanding of the electronic trading environment. He is a seasoned executive with vast experience in running and managing equity sales/derivative trading desks that specialize in electronic, algorithmic, and program trading, as well as consulting on micro-market structural issues to some of the largest buy-side firms in the US, both hedge funds and institutional. Johns experience includes stints on both buy and sell-side desks, providing him a unique perspective on issues relevant to both.

 

Most recently John was Managing Director of Sales and Trading at UNX, Inc., an agency brokerage focused on electronic execution. Prior to UNX, John spent more than a decade with Instinet, the worlds largest electronic agency broker at the time. While there, John acted as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Account Management, where he was responsible for standardizing trading services and assisted in the implementation of a global pricing platform. Prior to that, John managed Instinets US trading desk and was responsible for 350 million dollars of revenue. In his career, John has also held senior positions at electronic agency trading firms Brut LLC, MarketXT and Pulse Trading.

John holds a BA in a Social and Behavioral Sciences from Johns Hopkins University.
