PANEL
Building a More Sustainable Future

From ordinary household objects to entire cities and everything in between, a global, design-led, green makeover is in full swing - and it is undoubtedly changing the way business is done. Design - dismissed somewhat in the past as 'cosmetic' - is now recognised by business leaders, governments and NGOs as more than just skin-deep. Design, in fact, has substance. Good design is now finding itself at the heart of company strategy, and this panel will look at how organizations can harness the transformative power of sustainable design and technology, and at how companies, NGOs and governments can overcome the challenge of integrating new technologies and ideas into societies built around old ones.

PANEL
Collaborative and design-led innovation: Delivering more with less

Uncertainty and scarcity characterise the current corporate landscape - and are likely to for sometime. Senior executives, meanwhile, find themselves under constant pressure to deliver more - but with much diminished resources. Can collaborative and design-led innovation help get them out of a tight fix, and go some way to 'future-proofing' the business? This panel will give practical advice on how to make innovation happen and will spotlight those companies for whom the shift in emphasis towards design and sustainable technology has helped weather recession.

PANEL
Consumers: Should Brands Lead or Follow?

Some companies are seizing the initiative by implementing educationalcampaigns to help prepare their consumer base for greener products and services. Others are making the consumer integral to the process from the outset by tapping the 'wisdom of the crowd' to create consumer-driven content. What is best and next practice? And how might shifting consumer trends and behaviour shape the development of future design and technology?
