Peter Bofinger

Dr Bofinger is currently Full Professor of Economics, Money and International Economic Relations (C4 chair) at the University of Würzburg, a position he has held since August 1992. Since March 2004, he has also been a Member of the German Government's Council of Economic Advisors.
Dr Bofinger initially began his career in 1978 as an Economist, German Council of Economic Advisors, Wiesbaden, before moving on in 1981 to become a Lecturer, at the Department of Law and Economics, University of Saarbrücken. Between 1984 and 1990, he was an Economist with the Deutsche Bundesbank. From 1990 until 1992, he was a visiting Professor at the University of Kaierslautern, followed by University of Konstanz and finally the University of Würzburg.
Aside from these positions, Dr Bofinger has also been a Visiting Scholar in the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund and at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. From 2003 until 2004 he was First Vice President of the University of Würzburg.
Dr. Bofinger has written many books on economics and monetary economics. He has worked as an advisor for European and International Institutions.
His main fields of research are monetary and exchange rate economics, financial markets and economic reforms in developed and emerging market economies.

Ray Farris

Ray Farris is the Global Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy, and manages the team of FX strategy analysts in London, New York and Singapore. Prior to moving to London in the fall of 2007, he was responsible for foreign exchange and fixed income strategy for Asia ex-Japan. Mr Farris researched Asia's economies and financial markets for 17 years from Hong Kong and Singapore. He holds an MSc in Finance with distinction from the London Business School and a BA in Economics with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Martin Korbmacher is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse based in Frankfurt. He is responsible for managing Credit Suisse Investment Banking businesses in Germany and Austria.
Mr Korbmacher joined Credit Suisse in January 2005 from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he was the Deputy Head of Capital Markets and a member of the Executive Committee of DrKW. Previously, he was responsible for the Global Equities business from 2000 through to 2002, and prior to this he ran the Fixed Income Trading business globally between 1997 and 1999.
Prior to that, Mr Korbmacher worked at JPMorgan for six years in various Fixed Income trading functions.
Mr Korbmacher received a degree in Mathematics from the University of Bielefeld.

Thomas Kressin

Dr Thomas Kressin is a senior vice president and head of the European foreign exchange desk in the Munich office. He joined PIMCO in 1991 and worked as co-head of the global desk in Munich, with a special focus on currencies, until 2009. Previously, Dr Kressin supported the private client asset management division. He has 19 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in business administration from the Technical University in Berlin, Germany, and a PhD from the Technical University Cottbus.

Quentin Peel was appointed Chief Correspondent in Germany in January 2010. He was previously the International Affairs Editor of the Financial Times since 1998. Prior to this, he was the Foreign Editor, Moscow Correspondent and Moscow Bureau Chief.
Mr Peel joined the FT in 1975 on the foreign desk and has held several overseas positions, including South Africa Correspondent, African Editor, EU Correspondent and Brussels Bureau Chief.
Mr Peel graduated from Queen's College, Cambridge in 1970 and joined Thomson Regional Newspapers as a graduate trainee. In 1971 he joined the Newcastle Journal.

Asoka Woehrmann is the Global Head of Fixed Income DWS and a member of the Asset Management Global Operating Committee as well as a Board Member of DWS Investment GmbH and DWS Finanz-Service GmbH: Frankfurt.
Mr Woehrmann joined the company in 1998 as a fund manager for international bonds. He built up Asset FX and became Head of Foreign Exchange in 2001. In 2006, he was appointed Global Head of Foreign Exchange and in 2007 he became Head of Absolute Return Strategies. In 2009, he was appointed Global Head of Fixed Income DWS and Member of the Board DWS Investment GmbH. Mr Woehrmann previously spent one year as a teaching and research fellow at the Technical University of Vienna and 4 years at the University of Magdeburg.
Mr Woehrmann holds an MSc in Economics from University of Bielefeld, Germany and a PhD in Economics from Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg.
