Paula Jalfon
Commercial Manager, BBC Films
Paula Jalfon spent five years as Head of Production at the British Film Institute, producing directors such as Stephen Frears, Kevin Macdonald, John Boorman and Tim Robbins before forming Minerva Pictures, producing primarily for IFC, HBO, BBC and Channel Four. In 2002 Ms Jalfon became the Head of Development and Production for Ingenious Media where her responsibilities included assessing projects for financing and managing the production process on titles such as: "Shaun of the Dead", "Hotel Rwanda" and "Hairspray". In 2007 she joined BBC Films as Commercial Manager with responsibility for BBC Films' output, seeking out new sources of funding in the domestic and international market place. Recent titles include: "An Education", "The Duchess", "In the Loop" and "Fishtank". She is also responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of BBC Films' slate. Recent Executive Producer credits include "Closer", "In the Loop", "Streetdance (3D)" and Paula is currently packaging "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen".
