David Shepheard
Director, Abu Dhabi Film Commission
David Shepheard has been a Film Commissioner for over ten years in various cities across the globe. The Abu Dhabi Film Commission is the third film and TV development agency Mr Shepheard has launched. Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Film Commission as its first Director, he held the position of Head of Inward Investment and Locations at South West Screen, a regional partner of the UK Film Council.
Mr Shepheard has held positions as Chief Executive of Eastern Screen, the Film Commission for the East of England, which was merged into Screen East. Additionally, he was the first Director of Bristol Film Office. His résumé includes a mixture of working in commercial TV production, live music and theatre production and also as an Arts and Culture Development Manager within UK Government Agencies.
