Chief Executive Officer, Keppel Corporation
Choo Chiau Beng is the Chief Executive Officer of Keppel Corporation Ltd and also the Chairman of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd, Singapore Refining Company Pte Ltd and SMRT Corporation Ltd. Mr Choo sits on the Board of Directors of Keppel Land Ltd, k1 Ventures Ltd and Keppel Energy Pte Ltd. He is a Board Member of the Energy Studies Institute and a Board and Council Member of the American Bureau of Shipping. He is Chairman of the Det Norske Veritas South East Asia Committee and the Nanyang Business Schools International Advisory Board. He is a member of the American Bureau of Shippings Southeast Asia Regional Committee and Special Committee on Mobile Offshore Drilling Units. He is also Singapores Non-Resident Ambassador to Brazil. Mr Choo graduated with Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) and Master of Science degrees in Naval Architecture from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK. He later attended the Programme for Management Development in Harvard Business School and is a Member of the Wharton Society of Fellows, University of Pennsylvania.
