Satish Mandhana

Satish Mandhana has over 25 years' private equity and corporate finance/business strategy experience. At IDFC Private Equity, he is involved with the firm's investments in the infrastructure space. He was earlier a Director of CDC Advisors (now Actis, an emerging markets PE Fund) where he was involved in many important investments and exits such as the privatisation of Punjab Tractor and initial capitalisation of IDFC. He was also CFO and Head of Business Strategy at JK Paper, where he raised US$177 million in funds and was involved with the companys carbon sequestration initiative. As Head of Investment Banking at SRF Finance (now part of GE Capital), he set up the firms Structured Finance, Corporate Broking, Investment Banking and Private Equity practice. Mr Mandhana is a member of the working group on Power for the 11th plan (2007-12) of the Government of India and a member of the Economic Affairs and Taxation Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries. Mr Mandhana received an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, and a BE in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, and is passionate about promoting green infrastructure.
