Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone
Ameet Desai is Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for Mundra Port & Special Economic Zone Ltd (MPSEZ) the largest private sector port and SEZ in India. Mr Desai also has CFO responsibility for infrastructure in the Adani Group. The infrastructure business comprises Ports, Power, SEZ, Logistics & Gas Distribution. In Nov 2007, Mr Desai successfully led MPSEZs IPO, which was a milestone in Indian capital markets in terms of the demand it generated. He also led Indias largest private equity placement for Adani Power with 3i India. Prior to joining the Adani Group, Mr Desai was Vice President (M&A and Business Planning) and Executive Committee member at Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd, completing four cross-border acquisitions from the U.S. to Japan and one domestic deal. Before Ranbaxy, Mr Desai worked as VP-Corporate at Core Healthcare Ltd, where after leading finance and services he ran operations for nearly two years.
