David Roberts
Chief Executive Officer, Aedas
David Roberts is Chief Executive Officer of Aedas, based in Hong Kong. He has 23 years' experience as an architect, including 20 years in Asia. Having been involved in many major transportation and infrastructure projects in the region, Mr Roberts is particularly experienced in gaining statutory approvals on complex and fast-track projects. He is the Project Director/Authorised Person for Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal 2 development and recent North Satellite Concourse development. He has also led Aedas' regional rail teams in a number of significant projects. In Hong Kong, Aedas has designed more than 10 stations and 3 depots for MTRC; in Singapore, 12 MRT stations and 1 depot on the Circle and Downtown Lines, and 4 stations of Downtown Line Phase 3; and in India, 4 stations of Delhi Metro. In 2004, Mr Roberts expanded Aedas' business to the Middle East and successfully secured several major projects in the UAE, including the award-winning Ocean Heights residential developments at Dubai Marina. Aedas is the architect for 47 stations and 2 depots of Dubai Metro the first metro system in the UAE and the longest and most advanced automated metro in the world. Aedas is now the world's second largest architectural practice with 40 offices across four continents.
