Alejandro Perez
Senior Investment Officer, Infrastructure, IFC
Alejandro Perez is the Senior Investment Officer for Infrastructure in the East Asia and Pacific region at IFC, the private sector financing arm of the World Bank. Mr Perez has worked at IFC for seven years, participating in all phases of the project cycle from business development to portfolio supervision. He has worked mostly on infrastructure projects developed both by private sector companies as well as municipalities and other local public sector entities. His exposure to emerging markets encompasses most regions of the world. He recently moved to Hong Kong to focus on IFC infrastructure investments in East Asia. Prior to IFC, Mr Perez worked at Constellation Power, the international investments subsidiary of Baltimore Gas and Electric, and at PDVSA, the Venezuelan state-owned oil company. Mr Perez holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar, Venezuela, and an MBA with focus in finance from the University of Maryland, U.S. He is also a CFA charter-holder.
